About
Introduction
Welcome to FootballTransfers.co.uk. This site is dedicated to providing you with the latest football transfers and rumours information from around the world. Updated every day, you'll not only find latest transfers and rumours, but you'll also find lots more, like managerial moves, squad information, contracts news, and much, much, more.
History
This website was founded on Monday, the 13th of July, 1998. Its aim was to provide information on the latest transfer movements as this information was difficult to find on the Internet. It started out with just English and Scottish moves, but soon moved to cover other countries, thanks to the kind help of many people.
During an uncertain time in the summer of 2005, the site was merged with another website. This meant the inclusion of news and more indepth information on rumours.
FootballTransfers.co.uk has changed domain name a few times. Originally it was called and located at Footballtransfers.co.uk, but since then has alternated between that domain, FootballTransfers.net, and FootballTransfers.info for various reasons, mainly server issues.
For a period between late 2008 and early 2010, the website was offline, whilst time was taken to consider where to take it. After a few months work started on a major overhaul, the results are what you can see today.
